About
Background
My name is Mike Silvis, and I am from State College, Pennsylvania. I have lived here all my life and I am currently twenty years old. I like to snowboard, Mountain Bike, box, golf, and ride all terrain vehicles. I went to State College Area School District and am now currently attending Penn State. I plan to graduate in 2012 with a degree in Information Sciences and Technology while double minoring in Security Risk Analysis, and Entrepreneurship.
My Love of Technology
I started my love of technology back when I was thirteen and wanted to create my first motocross riding video for a school talent show. Since then things branched from making one video, two videos, three videos to wanting to make cool photos of them and than displaying everything online for everyone to see. This has branched out into a large variety of programming languages that coincide and work together to bring me closer to my overall goal.
I am well diverse in my skills being familiar and comfortable with languages such as PHP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, and a little bit of Java and C++. I also am familiar with applications such as the Adobe Suite, Aperture, Final Cut Studio, and Microsoft Office Suite.
As I progress my career and look for new challenges, and jobs everyday I hope to find a job suiting for my talents and to my liking.
